El jefe de la Oficina Nacional de Procesos Electorales (ONPE), Piero Corvetto, y el Director Ejecutivo del Proyecto Especial Legado Juegos Panamericanos y Parapanamericanos, Alberto Valenzuela, recorrieron hoy las instalaciones de la Villa Deportiva Nacional (Videna) en el distrito limeño de San Luis. En este recinto el organismo electoral habilitará tres locales de votación, donde se instalarán 82 mesas para un total de 24,383 electores.
En la actividad, los titulares de ambas entidades hicieron el reconocimiento de uno de los espacios que la Videna ha cedido a la ONPE para el desarrollo de la jornada electoral del 11 de abril y de una eventual segunda vuelta. En sus intervenciones Corvetto y Valenzuela destacaron el trabajo conjunto que llevan a cabo sus entidades para brindar facilidades y espacios seguros para el sufragio de la ciudadanía.
Además de la Videna, la ONPE utilizará otros espacios abiertos de los Juegos Panamericanos y Parapanamericanos como son el Polideportivo Villa El Salvador donde se instalarán 47 mesas para 14,100 electores y el Complejo Deportivo Andrés Avelino Cáceres, en Villa María del Triunfo, para 44 mesas y 13,200 personas. Los locales han sido cedidos al organismo electoral a través de un convenio interinstitucional suscrito con el Proyecto Especial Legado.
Al tratarse de espacios abiertos, el organismo electoral colocará toldos bajo los cuales se instalará una mesa de sufragio y dos cabinas de votación. Entre toldo y toldo habrá una distancia de 2 metros para evitar la aglomeración de votantes de distintas mesas de sufragio.
ONPE will install voting tables in Villa Deportiva
The head of the National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE), Piero Corvetto, and the Executive Director of the Special Pan American and Parapan American Games Legacy Project, Alberto Valenzuela, today toured the facilities of the National Sports Village (Videna) in the Lima district of San Lewis. In this area, the electoral body will set up three polling stations, where 82 tables will be installed for a total of 24,383 voters.
In the activity, the heads of both entities recognized one of the spaces that Videna has given to ONPE for the development of the April 11 election day and a possible second round. In their interventions, Corvetto and Valenzuela highlighted the joint work carried out by their entities to provide facilities and safe spaces for citizen suffrage.
In addition to the Videna, the ONPE will use other open spaces of the Pan American and Parapan American Games such as the Villa El Salvador Sports Center where 47 tables will be installed for 14,100 voters and the Andrés Avelino Cáceres Sports Complex, in Villa María del Triunfo, for 44 tables and 13,200 people. The premises have been transferred to the electoral body through an inter-institutional agreement signed with the Special Legacy Project.
As these are open spaces, the electoral body will place awnings under which a voting table and two voting booths will be installed. Between awning and awning there will be a distance of 2 meters to avoid the agglomeration of voters from different polling stations.
